The Library Map of the World follows IFLA’s general Notice and Takedown procedure for handling concerns about content hosted on the ifla.org domain and its subdomains.
If you believe that any material on the Library Map of the World is inaccurate or inappropriate, you may submit a report through our online form. Upon receiving a written notice, IFLA Headquarters will acknowledge receipt within two working days and verify the details of the report.
IFLA will then make reasonable efforts to contact the contributor of the content, who must respond within seven working days. Depending on the response and the nature of the complaint, IFLA may facilitate a resolution between the parties, assess whether removal or modification is justified, or refer the matter to the IFLA Governing Board and legal advisors.
In all cases, both the reporter and the author will be informed of the outcome. For full guidance, please consult the IFLA Notice and Takedown Procedure.
