National Library of Luxembourg / Bibliothèque nationale du Luxembourg (BNL)
The BNL collects all edited and printed publications at national level (legal deposit) as well as acts as university library with a larger collection of not Luxembourgish media. Furthermore the BNL is the center of the national union catalogue Bibnet.lu, run by the State.
National Library of Malaysia (NLM) / Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia (PNM)
The role of the national library is to make the national collection of library resources available for use to present and future generations, to facilitate nation wide access to library resources available within the country and abroad as well as to provide leadership pertaining to libraries in Malaysia.
National Library of Namibia (NLN)
The National Library of Namibia is the legal deposit and copyright library for Namibia. The National Library acts as the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) Agency for Namibia. This entails allocating ISBN/ISSN free of charge to books/serials published in Namibia.
Nepal National Library (NNL) / नेपाल राष्ट्रिय पुस्तकालय (Nepal Rashtriya Pustakalaya)
The NNL (Nepal National Library), established in 1957, takes care of preserving all publications for future generations. It has always been a representative and advisory body of government in terms of preserved national heritage of printed and digitised information. It is a depository library. One of the main functions of NNL is to keep record of all libraries, facilitate in providing library services to the general public throughout the Kingdom. In order to expand its service from within the boundary of Kathmandu valley, it has designated four public libraries one in each development region as its branch library. NNL supports them in developing their collection and in providing better library service.
National Library of the Netherlands, KB / Koninklijke Bibliotheek, KB
For centuries, the KB, National Library of the Netherlands has been a source of inspiration and innovation. Since its foundation in 1798, the KB has developed into a broad-based, versatile organisation, which guarantees the visibility, usability and sustainability of the national library collection for all Dutch people, for any purpose, both now and in the future. The KB is responsible for the written word, particularly Dutch publications, and for ensuring that everyone is able to read, learn and conduct research. This is the way of contributing towards making the Netherlands smarter, more competent and more creative.
National Library of Korea (NLA) / 국립중앙도서관
The National Library of Korea, opened in 1945, collects, preserves, and systematically organises and publishes publications and various kinds of knowledge in Korea. In addition, the Library is building rich collections from paper media to online materials, and is continuing to cooperate with domestic and foreign libraries.
The National Library of Moldova / Biblioteca Nationala din Republica Moldova
The National Library ensures the safeguarding of library materials published in the country and constitutes a collection of valuable documents, develops, preserves the legal deposit of documents; performs the function of center of expertise and methodological assistance in the field of preservation and restoration as well as participates in carrying out the national bibliographic control. The National Library  has the status of a national library center which: perform the coordination and correlation function in the field of research and development of libary science, and collects and aggregates statistical data presented by librarians.
Russian State Library (RSL) / Rossijskaya gosudarstvennaya biblioteka (RGB)
The Russian State Library (RSL) (Moscow) was founded in 1862 as a part of the Moscow Public Museum and Rumyantsev Museum. In Soviet times, it was named the V.I. Lenin State Library of the USSR. In 1992, it got its present name. It is the largest book depository of the Russian Federation, which keeps nearly 47 million printed publications and electronic documents. Since 2014, the RSL has been operating the National Digital Library (NDL) – http://ne`b.rf . It provides its services to all citizens from the age of 14.
National Library of Russia (NLR) / Rossijskaya naczional`naya biblioteka (RNB)
The National Library of Russia (NLR) (Saint Petersburg) was founded in 1795. In Soviet times, it was named the M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin State Public Library. In 1992, it got its present name. The NLR holds over 36 million items. The library has the most complete collection of Russian books in the world. It is a public library, which provides its services to all citizens from the age of 14.
Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library / Prezidentskaya biblioteka imeni B.N. El`czina
The Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library (Saint Petersburg) was created at the initiative of the Russian Government in 2009. It is a multi-functional information center, which has the status of the national library of Russia. The digital collection of the Presidential Library possesses more than 500,000 documents, which relate to the national cultural heritage associated with the theory, history and practice of the Russian statehood and with the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation. 139 841 documents are available in open access on the Internet portal.
National Library Singapore
The National Library is entrusted to collect, preserve, and make available Singapore's documentary heritage. It also includes the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library, which provides the largest selection of reference works for the general public including citizen researchers and scholars. The collection of over 2 million items covers a wide range of published and primary sources including photographs, maps, private papers, manuscripts, published newspapers & ephemera, books and audio-visual recordings. In July 2018, the National Library Board Act was amended to enable the National Library to collect digital publications and carry out web archiving of .sg domain websites.
National Library and Archives / الأرشيف و المكتبة الوطنية
The National Library and Archives was initially established as an Office of Documents and Studies. Its aim is to collect information and documents on the history and culture of the Arabian Peninsula in general, and the United Arab Emirates in particular. The National Library and Archives has been supervised by several parties since its inception, and then the name was changed from the National Centre for Documentation and Research to the National Archives. The National Library and Archives is considered one of the oldest and largest archives in the Arabian Gulf. It was also able to achieve its distinguished position among similar institutions in the Middle East and the world because it relied on an advanced and modern technological base. The publications issued by the National Library and Archives combine heritage and modernity that assists and benefits intellectuals. The National Library and Archives participates in local, regional, and international seminars and conferences. It also organizes exhibitions related to the heritage and culture of the United Arab Emirates, inside and outside the country.
